ProPal Cookie and Website Technologies Policy

This Cookie and Website Technologies Policy explains how EMOTION Software Development, LLC, doing business as ProPal, uses cookies, local storage, pixels, SDKs, log files, and similar technologies on `textpropal.com`, provider application pages, and related web properties.

1. What These Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Local storage and session storage allow a website or application to store information on a device. Pixels and similar tools can record that a page, link, or email was viewed. Server logs record technical requests made to a system.

2. Categories

2.1 Strictly Necessary

These technologies support security, routing, authentication, fraud prevention, load balancing, consent records, and core page functions. They may include:

  • session and security identifiers;
  • provider authentication state;
  • cross-site request forgery protection;
  • rate-limit and abuse-prevention controls;
  • consent preference storage;
  • load-balancer or deployment cookies; and
  • feature flags required to operate the Service.

Disabling necessary technologies may prevent the site or Provider dashboard from functioning.

2.2 Preferences

Preference technologies may remember:

  • language or display choices;
  • dismissed notices;
  • saved page state;
  • accessibility preferences; and
  • nonessential interface settings.

2.3 Analytics and Performance

ProPal may use privacy-conscious analytics and performance tools to understand page usage, errors, load time, referral source, device type, and aggregate visitor behavior. Analytics should not be used to sell mobile consent or create unrelated advertising profiles.

2.4 Communications

Email and messaging systems may record delivery, bounce, complaint, unsubscribe, link, or open events when permitted. These events help ProPal maintain communications, investigate failures, and honor preferences.

2.5 Advertising

ProPal does not presently describe its public website as using cross-context behavioral advertising cookies. If ProPal introduces advertising or retargeting technologies, it will update this Policy and deploy any legally required notice, opt-out, or consent mechanism before use.

3. Data Collected

Website technologies may collect:

  • IP address;
  • browser and device type;
  • operating system;
  • referring page;
  • pages visited;
  • timestamps;
  • approximate location derived from IP;
  • error and performance data;
  • interactions with buttons, links, forms, and notices; and
  • identifiers associated with a provider session or consent preference.

4. Third Parties

Website technologies may be provided by hosting, security, analytics, communications, database, and application vendors. Principal vendors are listed in the Subprocessor List. Third-party tools may set their own technologies according to their terms.

5. Choices

Users can manage cookies through browser controls. Browsers may allow users to block, delete, or limit cookies and local storage. Blocking all cookies may impair login, security, and dashboard functions.

Where applicable law requires consent for nonessential technologies, ProPal will provide a consent mechanism before activating those technologies. Where applicable law recognizes an opt-out preference signal, ProPal will evaluate and honor it as required.

6. Do Not Track

Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not governed by a uniform U.S. standard. ProPal may not respond to every Do Not Track signal, but will respond to legally recognized universal opt-out mechanisms where required.

7. Retention

Cookie duration varies. Session technologies expire when the session ends. Persistent technologies remain until their set expiration or deletion. Server logs and analytics events are retained for security, operations, and legal purposes according to ProPal retention practices.

8. Changes

ProPal may update this Policy when tools, vendors, laws, or website functions change. The effective date will identify the current version.
