ProPal Artificial Intelligence Disclosure

Effective Date: August 3, 2026 Version: 1.0

ProPal uses artificial intelligence and automated decision-support systems as part of its home-service communication and routing platform. This disclosure explains what those systems do, what they do not do, and how users should evaluate their output.

1. AI Functions

ProPal may use custom AI workflows and third-party model providers, including OpenAI and/or Anthropic, to:

  • interpret customer messages written in ordinary language;
  • identify likely service categories and subcategories;
  • ask clarifying intake questions;
  • extract addresses, timing preferences, urgency indicators, and relevant details;
  • summarize a conversation or service request;
  • generate customer-facing acknowledgments and status messages;
  • prepare structured information for eligible providers;
  • identify when additional human or deterministic processing is needed; and
  • support internal quality, safety, and operational review.

2. Deterministic Routing Controls

AI is not intended to own the final routing rules. ProPal may use deterministic logic involving:

  • the ProPal number contacted and source-provider attribution;
  • requested service type;
  • service address and geographic coverage;
  • provider services and location configuration;
  • operating hours and availability;
  • provider account and billing status;
  • response windows, declines, and timeouts;
  • customer selection or named-provider requests;
  • provider quality or eligibility controls; and
  • network rotation and fallback rules.

An AI model may propose or structure information used by those rules, but ProPal may validate, override, reject, or reprocess model output.

3. AI Is Not a Professional

AI-generated content is not a substitute for a licensed or qualified professional. ProPal AI does not provide:

  • a professional diagnosis of a property condition;
  • engineering, architectural, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, environmental, medical, legal, financial, insurance, tax, or code-compliance advice;
  • a binding estimate, quote, contract, appointment, warranty, or scope of work;
  • a guarantee that a provider is available, licensed, insured, or suitable;
  • emergency-response instructions; or
  • a guarantee that a suspected cause, urgency level, or service category is correct.

The accepting provider must independently inspect, diagnose, scope, price, schedule, contract for, and perform the work.

4. Known Limitations

AI systems can:

  • misunderstand slang, spelling, sarcasm, incomplete descriptions, or photographs;
  • infer the wrong trade or urgency;
  • omit facts or combine separate issues incorrectly;
  • produce confident but inaccurate statements;
  • fail to recognize hazards or emergencies;
  • generate language that does not reflect a provider’s actual position;
  • be affected by model updates, outages, latency, or vendor changes; and
  • reproduce bias or inconsistent patterns.

Users must review important information and correct misunderstandings. A customer should tell ProPal when the summary, address, service type, urgency, or requested provider is wrong. Providers must verify every material detail before acting.

5. Human Responsibility

Customers remain responsible for:

  • contacting 911 or the appropriate emergency authority for immediate danger;
  • providing accurate information;
  • obtaining permission for property access;
  • independently evaluating a provider; and
  • reviewing provider estimates, contracts, charges, and warranties.

Providers remain responsible for:

  • professional judgment;
  • licensing, insurance, credentials, and legal compliance;
  • inspection, diagnosis, scope, estimate, quote, scheduling, permits, and safety;
  • customer communications after handoff;
  • workmanship, payment, warranty, and dispute resolution; and
  • correcting any inaccurate AI-generated summary before relying on it.

6. Data Used in AI Processing

AI processing may involve message content, service address, photographs, service-request history, provider information, and routing context necessary to perform the requested function. ProPal uses business or API services from AI providers and applies contractual, technical, and operational controls appropriate to the Service.

Do not submit unnecessary highly sensitive information, including Social Security numbers, full payment-card details, banking credentials, medical records, government identification, passwords, or authentication codes.

More information appears in the Privacy Policy and Subprocessor List.

7. Model Improvement and Evaluation

ProPal may evaluate AI output for accuracy, safety, latency, cost, and routing quality. Depending on the applicable vendor configuration and contract, third-party model providers may process content to deliver the API service. ProPal does not authorize third-party model providers to use mobile opt-in data for their own marketing.

ProPal may use de-identified, aggregated, redacted, synthetic, or properly authorized operational data to test and improve its own prompts, rules, classifications, safeguards, and product design.

8. Automated Decisions and Appeals

A customer or provider may ask ProPal support to review an apparent routing, attribution, status, or account error. ProPal may provide manual review where reasonably available but does not guarantee a particular outcome.

Customer support is available by text at (580) 217-3213 or by email at hello@textpropal.com. Providers should use the Provider dashboard.

9. Changes

AI systems, vendors, and capabilities may change. ProPal will update this disclosure when a material change affects how users should understand or rely on the Service.
