ProPal Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) applies to every person and business using ProPal, including customers, service providers, administrators, contractors, and anyone accessing ProPal systems, websites, messaging numbers, APIs, dashboards, or data. It supplements the Terms of Use, SMS Terms, Privacy Policy, and Service Provider Agreement.

1. General Standard

You may use ProPal only for lawful, legitimate, and authorized home-service communication, intake, routing, provider coordination, account administration, support, and related business activity. You must not use ProPal in a way that harms people, property, networks, carriers, vendors, ProPal, or the integrity of the Service.

2. Messaging Abuse

You must not:

  • send unsolicited, deceptive, or unlawful SMS, MMS, email, or other messages;
  • use purchased, rented, scraped, harvested, appended, or third-party contact lists;
  • contact a person without the consent required for the message type and sender;
  • use customer service-request consent as permission for unrelated marketing;
  • bypass or interfere with STOP, HELP, consent, suppression, quiet-hour, or frequency controls;
  • ask a person to opt in through an unsolicited message;
  • conceal sender identity or falsely imply that a message came directly from a provider;
  • rotate numbers, alter content, or use technical measures to evade carrier filtering;
  • send prohibited content under Twilio, carrier, CTIA, FCC, FTC, state, or other applicable rules;
  • use ProPal numbers for political, fundraising, debt-collection, gambling, adult, cannabis, controlled-substance, weapons, high-risk financial, or other unapproved campaigns; or
  • transmit messages outside the registered A2P use case.

3. Fraud and Misrepresentation

You must not:

  • impersonate a customer, provider, ProPal employee, public official, carrier, or other person;
  • create fake requests, fake provider accounts, fake reviews, fake emergencies, or fabricated addresses;
  • submit false licenses, insurance, credentials, availability, locations, service capabilities, or billing information;
  • misrepresent that ProPal guarantees, employs, certifies, licenses, insures, supervises, or endorses a provider;
  • manipulate routing, attribution, ratings, rotation, response times, completion status, or billing;
  • obtain customer information under false pretenses;
  • use ProPal for phishing, credential theft, payment diversion, check fraud, identity theft, or account takeover; or
  • exploit a customer’s urgent situation through deception or coercion.

4. Safety and Harm

You must not use ProPal to:

  • threaten, stalk, harass, abuse, exploit, intimidate, or discriminate unlawfully;
  • facilitate violence, trafficking, sexual exploitation, child abuse, or self-harm;
  • direct unqualified persons to perform hazardous work;
  • conceal known safety hazards from a customer or provider;
  • provide dangerous emergency instructions while pretending to be qualified;
  • coordinate unlawful entry, surveillance, or access to property;
  • distribute malware, malicious files, or dangerous links; or
  • interfere with emergency services, utilities, or public-safety communications.

5. Sensitive Information

Do not submit or request unnecessary highly sensitive information, including:

  • Social Security numbers;
  • full payment-card or bank credentials;
  • passwords, authentication codes, or security questions;
  • government identification documents;
  • medical or health records unrelated to safe service access;
  • biometric identifiers;
  • precise information about children unless necessary and legally authorized; or
  • alarm, gate, lockbox, or access codes through an insecure or unnecessary channel.

If temporary access information is necessary for a job, share the minimum required information directly with the accepting provider and change the code afterward when feasible.

6. Customer Data Misuse

Providers and users may not:

  • sell, rent, trade, disclose, or monetize customer information;
  • add customers to unrelated promotional lists without separate valid consent;
  • use data to build a competing directory, lead marketplace, or messaging network;
  • identify a customer from an aggregate shopping signal;
  • retaliate against a customer for selecting another provider or leaving feedback;
  • contact a customer after a clear opt-out except as legally permitted for an active transaction;
  • expose data to unauthorized employees, subcontractors, affiliates, or vendors; or
  • use customer data for discrimination, surveillance, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

7. System and Security Abuse

You must not:

  • access or attempt to access another account, conversation, provider record, administrative interface, database, storage bucket, webhook, API, or nonpublic system without authorization;
  • probe, scan, test, or exploit vulnerabilities without written authorization;
  • bypass authentication, authorization, row-level security, rate limits, or technical restrictions;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive source code except where law expressly permits;
  • introduce malware, ransomware, spyware, bots, scraping systems, denial-of-service traffic, or destructive code;
  • interfere with system logs, audit records, consent records, or evidence preservation;
  • use automated tools to extract data or content at scale without permission;
  • overload, disrupt, degrade, or misuse Twilio, SendGrid, Supabase, Stripe, Google, AI-provider, carrier, or hosting infrastructure; or
  • publish credentials, API keys, account SIDs, webhook secrets, internal URLs, or security configurations.

8. Intellectual Property and Content

You must not submit or distribute content that:

  • infringes copyright, trademark, patent, trade-secret, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights;
  • contains confidential information you are not authorized to disclose;
  • falsely uses another provider’s name, logo, reviews, photographs, or credentials;
  • copies ProPal software, documentation, workflow, branding, or data for a competing service; or
  • removes legal notices, watermarks, attribution, or security controls.

9. Provider-Specific Conduct

Providers must not:

  • accept work they are not legally qualified, licensed, insured, staffed, or equipped to perform;
  • misstate arrival time, scope, diagnosis, price, warranty, permit status, or completion;
  • pressure customers into immediate payment or work authorization through false urgency;
  • use ProPal to avoid licensing, permitting, tax, employment, lien, telemarketing, privacy, or consumer-protection rules;
  • route a request to an undisclosed subcontractor without legally required disclosures;
  • manipulate completion or rating events;
  • keep advertising an assigned number after cancellation when ProPal instructs Provider to update materials; or
  • attempt to port or control a ProPal number.

10. Customer-Specific Conduct

Customers must not:

  • request access to property they do not own or control without authorization;
  • conceal animals, weapons, hazards, contamination, structural instability, or other material safety conditions;
  • submit requests intended to lure, harass, rob, injure, or surveil a provider;
  • upload intimate, exploitative, or irrelevant imagery;
  • dispute legitimate provider charges through fraud; or
  • use ProPal to coordinate illegal work.

11. Enforcement

ProPal may investigate suspected violations and may:

  • warn the user;
  • block or filter content;
  • pause messaging;
  • restrict features;
  • suspend or terminate accounts, numbers, locations, or providers;
  • preserve relevant records;
  • notify carriers, vendors, payment processors, insurers, regulators, law enforcement, or affected persons where appropriate;
  • remove content or provider listings; or
  • pursue legal remedies.

ProPal may act immediately when necessary to protect users, carrier registration, system security, or legal compliance. ProPal is not obligated to disclose internal detection methods or investigation details.

12. Reporting

Report abuse, fraud, safety issues, or suspected policy violations to hello@textpropal.com. Customers may also text (580) 217-3213. Providers should use the support function in the Provider dashboard.

For immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate emergency authority.

13. Changes

ProPal may update this AUP to address new threats, legal requirements, carrier rules, supported services, or product changes. The current version will be posted at `textpropal.com/acceptable-use`.
